The Executive Branch is made up of 3 executive officers, 21 cabinet members, and 16 committees. The Executive Branch's main goal is to align CUSG's mission with the reasons people love Clemson: strong academics, a close-knit community, and passionate school spirit.

Roles and Responsibilities
PRESIDENT
The Student Body President oversees the internal operations of the Clemson Undergraduate Student Government and acts as the face of CUSG and the liaison to the University.
VICE PRESIDENT
The Student Body Vice President assists the Student Body President in the appointment of the President's Cabinet and any other positions required by legislation.
CHIEF OF STAFF
The Chief of Staff serves as an advisor to the Student Body President regarding all executive matters, manages the office of the Student Body President, and coordinates any special projects deemed necessary by the Student Body President. The Chief of Staff also serves as the chief facilitator for all cabinet functions and maintain records of those functions in order to review continually the executive function of Student Government. The Chief of Staff also monitors and advises the Cabinet on all matters relating to Student Government budgets, expenditures, the expenditure process, and revenues, in addition to approving Student Government expenditures.
STUDENT BODY TREASURER
The Student Body Treasurer serves as the Chair of the Student Funding Board and is chiefly responsible for the allocation of the Student Activity Fee Fund, which is approximately $1.6M each fiscal year. The Student Body Treasurer maintains administrative relationships with the Student Affairs Business Operations Office and the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.
CHIEF OF OPERATIONS
The Chief of Operations works with the Chief of Staff to produce, distribute, and file accurate Student Government meetings agendas, minutes, and committee reports while keeping said documents within easy access of the Student Body. They act as an advisor to the President and provides a full range of administrative support functions to improve Student Government's visibility and effectiveness on campus.
SECRETARY OF OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT
The implementing tangible initiatives to increase student involvement within Clemson Undergraduate Student Government and make the Cabinet more accessible and responsive to the Student Body. The Secretary shall represent the Campus Outreach Department and apprise the Cabinet of all matters pertaining to University organizations, facilitate the creation of a President’s Council, at the discretion of the Student Body President and Student Body Vice President, and communicate with leadership of Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s).
SECRETARY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Secretary of Communications is responsible for maintaining the relationship between Student Government and the university as a whole. In addition, they serve as a communications director and liaison for CUSG. They help lead this team to improve CUSG transparency and communication with the Undergraduate Student Body via many different media mediums. They also serve as an advisor to the Student Body President and Vice President.
SECRETARY OF FINANCE
The Secretary of Finance handles monitoring and advising Cabinet on Student Government’s internal finances. This includes budgets, expenditures, revenues, and cash flows. The Secretary of Finance also handles the coordination and finances of the Spring Block Party.
SECRETARY OF SEXUALITY AND GENDER ENGAGEMENT
The Secretary of SAGE is responsible for engaging and connecting with LGBTQIA+ organizations and students on campus. This person works to ensure that LGBTQIA+ students are being represented within CUSG and Cabinet through informing the Cabinet of issues on campus and the community that affect our LGBTQIA+ students. This Secretary works as a liaison and works with CUSG on how to best represent and support all students on campus.
SECRETARY OF MILITARY AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Military Affairs works to represent the military community within Clemson as a part of Student Government.
SECRETARY OF GREEK AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Greek Affairs serves as a liaison between CUSG and all Greek Councils on campus. They will keep Greek Life informed on all goings-on in CUSG in order to facilitate collaboration and foster a transparent environment.
SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURAL AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Agriculture Affairs is responsible for raising awareness of the concerns facing the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences, and hosting PR/fundraising events such as Shag for Ag. They may also create any projects they deem necessary.
SECRETARY OF DIVERSITY AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Diversity Affairs serves to manage and oversee all general and specific needs of the Council of Diversity Affairs.
SECRETARY OF ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
The Secretary of Academic Experience is responsible for reporting on and improving the relationship between Clemson University and the City of Clemson as well as maintaining an active role in improving student wellness on campus. This includes: helping further and fund the idea of sustainable living, both on campus and within the local community, providing programming for student wellness, serving as a resource to the Cabinet by having a high awareness and involvement in activities pertaining to Clemson University, the surrounding community, and how it impacts Student Government.
SECRETARY OF THE FRESHMAN COUNCIL
This Secretary is a Mentor/Mentee position that will get first-year students plugged in at Clemson. This position involves a director and assistant director who will introduce students to both Clemson and CUSG. The leaders of this program coordinate large projects, including Movie Night in Death Valley and Freshman Council Retreat. These group leaders engage students in dialogues about the Student Body and campus culture. These leaders will help new students in personal development and to become engaged on campus by encouraging them to pursue leadership positions within CUSG as well as throughout the campus.
SECRETARY OF TRANSFER AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Transfer Affairs is to preside over the council and to advocate for and represent transfer students by serving as their voice within the Undergraduate Student Government.
SECRETARY OF PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Secretary of Public Relations maintains an open line of communication with the Secretary of Communications. They are responsible for leading CUSG marketing efforts and event advertising on campus and on social media. This includes the designing of graphics, curation of videos, and more to maintain an effective presence of CUSG on various media platforms.
SECRETARY OF ACTIVITIES
The Secretary of Activities is responsible for coordinating special activities sponsored by Student Government and shall provide the Student Body with appropriate services. A few examples of these activities and events include; the Homecoming Pageant, CUSG Banquet, Lighting of the Gardens, and much more!
SECRETARY OF ELECTIONS
The Secretary of Elections is responsible for orchestrating all voting, as it pertains to the Student Body. This includes Miss Homecoming, Student Body President and Vice President, and the Student Senate. They will be in charge of organizing elections-related events and enforcing all election bylaws. Increasing the annual student voter turnout is a major goal of the Secretary of Elections.
SECRETARY OF ATHLETIC AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Athletic Affairs is responsible for representing student-athletes within student government.
SECRETARY OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT
The Secretary of Public Safety and Risk Management is responsible for representing the Public Safety Advisory Board and shall act on all matters regarding public safety.
SECRETARY OF CLEMSONLIFE EXPERIENCE
The Secretary of the ClemsonLIFE Experience is responsible for representing the ClemsonLIFE program and the ClemsonLIFE student population on the Student Body President's Cabinet and in the Undergraduate Student Government. The Secretary of ClemsonLIFE Experience shall be an active ClemsonLIFE student.
SECRETARY OF GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS
The Secretary of Governmental Affairs is responsible for informing the Cabinet of all student issues pertaining to local, state, and national governments and governmental agencies. This Director serves specifically as a liaison between the Undergraduate Student Government, the Governmental Affairs office, and the City of Clemson. This Secretary also is involved with the planning of lobbying trips to Columbia, South Carolina, and Washington D.C. The Secretary also assists the Student Body President when speaking to public officials.
SECRETARY OF CAMPUS OUTREACH
The Secretary of Outreach is responsible for maintaining Student Government’s relationship with the 500+ student organizations of Clemson University. This Secretary assists the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership in the recognition of new organizations, plan Fall and Spring organization meetings and Tiger Prowl, and help to increase the transparency of CUSG by regularly speaking to these organizations and affording them a point of reference within Student Government.
SENATE PRESIDENT
The President of the Student Senate is elected each year by the membership of the Student Senate. The President presides over all meetings of the Student Senate and shall serve as Chair of the Executive Committee and the Steering Committee. The President, or their designee, shall serve on the University Academic Council, the University Athletic Council, and the Student Body President's Cabinet and may attain membership in any other Committees or councils they deem necessary or are invited to join.
ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Attorney General is charged with the duty of protecting the rights of the Undergraduate and Graduate Student Body through serving as the chief administrative officer of the Judicial Branch. This includes regulating the operation of the student judicial boards, including coordinating the appeals process, compiling all paperwork for cases and recommended sanctions, and managing the selection and dismissal of Judicial Branch members. In addition, the Attorney General shall be the student representative of the University to the administration in all matters involving student policies and judicial procedures. Within CUSG, the Attorney General sits on the president's cabinet and gives reports on the current happenings of the Judicial Branch.
